“There has to be some tipping point where we hate Congress so much that we actually don’t send our guy back.” – Ellis Henican
John Boehner and House Republicans have said they will not vote to approve a bipartisan two-month extension of the Social Security payroll tax cut that cleared the Senate over the weekend and are demanding instead that their fellow lawmakers return to the Capitol for negotiations – something Senators have said they will not do.
For 160 million middle class taxpayers the stalemate could mean a tax hike on January 1st.

Obama is trying to use 160 Million Tax Payers as pawns in the 2012 presidential election?
Why doesn’t Obama want to extend the existing tax cut to 160 million tax payers for one year and only wants to extend it for 60 days? Obama has not provided an explanation. It’s clear that the Obama administration wants to use 160 million tax payers as pawns during the 2012 election by telling them that unless he is re-elected that they will not get that tax break extension. For what other reason would Obama have for not wanting to extend it for another full year?
The House Republicans can see what Obama is trying to do, and they will do their best to prevent Obama from holding this over the heads of 160 million tax payers during the 2012 election year. When it comes right down to it, I am sure the republicans will as last resort approve the 60 day extension. People should realize and be aware of the dirty politics Obama is willing to use to try and win the 2012 election.
Beware people this is just the beginning.
