Conference dedicated to Marie Colvin
The SPJ Region 1 Conference is dedicated to the memory of Long Island native Marie Colvin, the award-winning foreign correspondent with the Sunday Times of London, who was killed in February during a rocket attack in Syria.
A memorial fund has been established in her name to support charitable and educational organizations that reflect Marie’s lifelong dedication to humanitarian aid, human rights, journalism, and education.
